Melissa Cluff is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (license #201348) in the state of Texas. She obtained her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Brigham Young University in 2004 and went on to receive her Master's degree in Human Development and Family Science, with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy, from Oklahoma State University.
Melissa has worked in conjunction with the Oklahoma Marriage Initiative, taught marriage enrichment classes, and conducted premarital assessments. Besides providing couple counseling, Melissa works with those that are affected by sexual addictions. She has received training with LifeSTAR Dallas, a specialized treatment program for pornography and sexual addiction issues for addicts and their spouses, and is dedicated to the work. Melissa has additional experience working with victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
Melissa offers adolescent, individual, couple, and family therapy using a marriage and family therapy systemic approach. Through the use of this systemic approach, she explores the issues the client(s) brings to therapy in the context of their world and experiences and important relationships in their lives.
Melissa is a member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT) and Texas Association for Marriage and Family Therapists (TAMFT). When she is not providing therapy, Melissa enjoys trying new recipes, reading, doing home projects, taking her dogs to the dog park, finding good shopping deals, spending time with family, and working out.
